The Soulprint Project Philsophy
THE THREE PILLARS OF THE SOULPRINT PROJECT
Ancient Wisdom. Interior Silence. Radical Self-Knowledge.
The Soulprint Project is built upon three ancient and complementary pathways: The Beatitudes, Contemplation, and the Enneagram.
Each approaches the human soul from a different direction.
The Beatitudes reveal who we are becoming.
Contemplation teaches us how to become still enough to hear.
The Enneagram helps us recognize what within us keeps getting in the way.
Together, they form a path from unconscious living toward awakening—from the person we learned to be toward the person God created us to become.
THE BEATITUDES
The Entire Scripture in a Grain of Sand
Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are those who mourn. Blessed are the meek. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…
The Beatitudes are among the most familiar words Jesus ever spoke, and perhaps among the least understood.
They are not simply eight virtues to practice or eight promises about heaven.
They are a portrait of the transformed human being.
Within these few extraordinary sentences is a kind of spiritual DNA: humility, compassion, surrender, mercy, purity, reconciliation, courage, and love.
They contain, in miniature, the movement of the entire biblical story—from creation and exile to redemption and restoration.
The entire Scripture in a grain of sand.
The Soulprint Project returns again and again to the Beatitudes because they reveal something essential: Christianity is not merely about believing something about God.
It is about becoming someone in God.
CONTEMPLATION
Silence Isn’t Empty. It’s Full of the Answers You Were Too Busy to Hear.
We live surrounded by noise.
Phones. News. Opinions. Responsibilities. Ambition. Fear. Regret. Plans. Memories. The endless internal conversation of the ego explaining, defending, comparing, rehearsing, and worrying.
Eventually, we can become so accustomed to the noise that we mistake it for ourselves.
Contemplation interrupts that illusion.
It is the ancient spiritual practice of becoming still—not to escape life, but to finally become present to it.
Scripture says:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
There is wisdom beneath the noise.
There is a voice beneath the voices.
There is a self beneath the personality we have spent a lifetime constructing.
Contemplation creates the interior space where we can begin hearing again.
Because sometimes God has not been silent.
We have simply been too busy to listen.
THE ENNEAGRAM
Seeing the Ego. Recovering the Soul.
The Enneagram is an ancient-influenced, modern spiritual-psychological framework for understanding human personality, motivation, fear, desire, and the unconscious patterns that shape our lives.
But at The Soulprint Project, we are interested in something deeper than identifying your “type.”
Your Enneagram number is not your identity.
It is a doorway.
The Enneagram helps us recognize the personality we constructed to navigate the world—the strategies we developed to find love, security, significance, control, belonging, or protection.
Those strategies often served us well.
Until they didn't.
What once protected us can eventually imprison us.
The ego can complement the soul. It gives us personality, energy, ambition, imagination, and ways of navigating the world. But when left unconscious, the ego can also begin stealing from the soul.
Our gifts become compulsions.
Our strengths become defenses.
Our desires become demands.
And gradually we confuse the person we learned to be with the person we actually are.
This is where the Enneagram becomes far more interesting than a personality test.
It becomes a mirror.
It reveals not merely what we do, but why we keep doing it.
And once we can see the pattern, something extraordinary becomes possible:
We can choose differently.
FROM UNCONSCIOUS TO CONSCIOUS
The unconscious person drifts.
They react before understanding why. They repeat patterns they promised themselves they would never repeat. They defend identities they never consciously chose. Their wounds speak, their fears decide, their ego drives—and they call it personality.
The conscious person begins to awaken.
They notice.
They observe.
They become curious about their reactions rather than being controlled by them.
And slowly, the distance between stimulus and response becomes sacred ground.
That is where freedom begins.
The Enneagram gives us language for this journey.
Contemplation gives us the silence necessary to observe it.
The Beatitudes show us the person we are invited to become.
See. Be still. Become.
ENNEAGRAM GUIDANCE WITH J. STEVE BRUNER
J. Steve Bruner brings something to Enneagram work that cannot be obtained simply by completing a certification or memorizing nine personality descriptions: a lifetime of experience with people.
An author, seasoned mentor, visionary, longtime teacher, meditation instructor, and Certified Enneagram Coach through two respected Enneagram training programs, Steve approaches the Enneagram not as a system for putting people into boxes, but as a way of helping people get out of the boxes they have unknowingly spent a lifetime building around themselves.
His approach integrates the Enneagram with Scripture, the Beatitudes, contemplation, spiritual formation, philosophy, psychology, and the accumulated wisdom of a life spent studying human transformation.
This is not therapy, nor is it simply conventional life coaching.
It is mentorship in self-discovery and spiritual formation.
The purpose is not to make you better at being your Enneagram type.
The purpose is to help you become free enough that your type no longer unconsciously determines who you are.
Because ultimately, the Enneagram asks a much more important question than:
“What number am I?”
It asks:
“Who am I beneath everything I learned I had to become?”
And eventually an even deeper question emerges:
“Who was I created to be?”
That is where the Enneagram meets the larger work of The Soulprint Project.
THE SOULPRINT JOURNEY
The Beatitudes reveal the destination.
Contemplation creates the silence.
The Enneagram exposes what stands in the way.
And beneath all three lies the conviction at the heart of The Soulprint Project:
You are more than your accomplishments.
More than your failures.
More than your wounds.
More than your personality.
More than the identity you constructed to survive the world.
There is something deeper.
A soul bearing the fingerprints of its Creator.
The journey is not about inventing a better version of yourself.
It is about discovering, recovering, and becoming the person God created you to be.
The unconscious person drifts.
The conscious person awakens.
And awakening changes everything.
